I love bringing people together in community, opening our home, and gathering around the kitchen table over a cup of coffee. Out of this love, a Bible study was born. This group is a small group of women who love to wrestle deeply and authentically with Scripture. We value the blessing of diverse perspectives and a safe space to explore them as we seek to bring our pursuit of Jesus together with the messy reality of our authentic lives.

Our group will be studying Speaking Wisely by Poppy Smith. Who hasn’t blurted out something not worth saying? And who hasn’t been wounded by someone’s thoughtless comments, angry words, or gossip? Our words affect all those around us, for good or for bad. They also affect how we think of ourselves.
In Speaking Wisely, you will explore what the Bible has to say about the power of words to harm relationships and to hinder God’s work in our lives. Here you will learn how you can help others, and yourself, by cultivating the habit of using words that encourage, express love, and praise God. We will meet again to kick off this new study on August 6, 2024.
