What lies are you believing? Unfortunately, we have a real enemy that often uses lies to distort our truth and draw us away from God. At NMC, we are exploring the enemies of our soul, including the devil, the flesh, and the world. Every day for the next four weeks, we are reflecting on a different lie that the enemy tells us. In this reflection, we will look at scripture and prayer as tools to dispel lies and overcome the enemy.

The Lie

Fellowship with other believers is a good idea but not necessary.

Read & Pray

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Lord, help me get connected to your bride, the church. Help me surround myself with other believers who I can give my life to help and who can help me. Help me believe that I cannot live out my faith apart from you and from other believers.

Lord, help me to value your Word and your wisdom above all other voices, including my own. Help me believe that no one is more for me than you and that all your ways have been given to us to direct us and guide us into what is best for us.
